I wanted to revise my storyboard with some more interesting looking shots. I decided to research graphic novels, since they many different frames to tell their stories.
The first book I read was Persepolis. I was originally inspired by the animated version of the books. I like the use of aerial shots and how Satrapi draws Marjane with such clear facial expressions.
In the above comics, I like the use of lighting. I would love to be able to implement lighting details into my own imagery.
Overall, I don't think this research will be that useful to me as an animator, but it was interesting to look at anyway.
