I created an aerial view of a vinyl player.
I coloured the image using the same colours as the previous scene I'd created.
I used Photoshop to add further details to the image, including shadows and highlights. The screenshot above shows I increased the lightness of the colour black, so to give the image more of a muted, low contrast look.
I then used After Effects to animate the shot. I made the vinyl spin continuously by selecting the rotation option and using the expression: time*250
I also made the stick vibrate slightly by using the expression: wiggle(3,1)
Overall I'm quite happy with the way this shot looks and am glad to be using a consistent colour scheme.
I used scans of my hand-drawn images, then traced them on illustrator, using separate layers.
I had my previously created scene alongside the new one I was creating as reference. This was so I could easily use the eyedropper tool to select the same colours.
